THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
1968 UK 2nd *MONO* PRESSING LP
**LABEL OMITS 'A DAY IN THE LIFE'**
This rare 1969 UK 2nd MONO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7027
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label omits the 'A Day In The Life' title.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve & cut-out sheet.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper numbers: 6/MMO & 7/MAT

The yellow print is actually a slightly shade on each label.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Very clean & bright surfaces bearing just a single 1cm scratch on track 2, side 1 (just feelable), but no scuffs, marks or further wear.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than some wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
This copy has clearly only received just careful, light play on top quality equipment.
The sound throughout is perfectly clean & clear with no trace of any background noise or groovewear on any track.
Even the frequently & easily damaged 'She's Leaving Home' & 'Day In The Life' fade play without fault.
Apart from 3 clicks on track 2, side 1 - there is no significant or major audible wear.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A vibrant front panel with an undamaged high-gloss laminate which bears just a few tiny spine wrinkles & a single small 'thumbnail' crease.
There is a small bump to the upper right corner only but all opening edges are clean and sharp with no traces of wear to any side.
The rear panel is as clean & glossy as the front with just a 3cm seam upper stress but no other wear.
The inside of the gatefold is pristine and clearly has remained unopened for many years.
The spine is slightly squashed but retains a 100% laminate & undamaged text.
