1967 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP

**W I D E SPINE COVER**

Early copies of this LP were housed in covers with thick, square spines measuring 8mms across, double the regular/later width.

This rare first mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7027
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.

Housed in a fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover with the 8mm 'wide' spine.
Complete with Near Mint cut-out sheet and original red & white inner-sleeve.

Pristine, bright and unmarked surfaces which reveal just a few wispy sleeve removal hairline directly under intense a halogen desk lamp.
There are no scuff or scratches and the disc lies 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

Carefully played just a few times the sound is bright, crisp and clear without any groovewear distortion in either channel on any track.
All tracks play superbly without: crackle, hiss, clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.
Hard to find a better sounding example.

Cover: EXCELLENT

A fine example of this rare cover which displaying just some extremely light wear only.
The front panel is bright and clean with an unscrached laminate bearing just two light wrinkles to the spine but no 'thumbnails'
Its only fault is a light line impression running horizontally across the cover. However this appears to be a manufacturing flaw, not due to mishandling or wear.
The upper left corner is slightly bruised but all others and the opening edges are in great sharp and clean shape.
There is a small faded area on the rear top corner and near the spine but no other faults.
The inside of the gatefold is perfect with no marks, writing or missing paper.
The wide spine is clean, square and undamaged with no missing paper or laminate, and all seams are strong and unsplit
