Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

Original 1st pressing from 1967

Excellent+ condition LP

Complete with the original psychedelic red/white inner sleeve, and the rare "patents pending" outer cover.

* KT tax code stamped on side 2 - the correct tax code for 1967
*  Label PMC 7027    ie mono
* -1 Matrices on vinyl runoff  XEX637-1 and 638-1
* Mother/stampers 2GDL and 4ML
 * Rated EX+

Inner Cover
* The original psychedelic red/white inner sleeve, only issued with the 1st pressing.
* VG+
* Red/white sleeve is fully intact with no holes, no writing, no tears, light scuffing at the record entrance. If you look inside though there is a seam split on the base.
* A nice bright red still, though the colour at the white end is starting to age off-white where it has been exposed to sunlight.

Outer Cover 
* Rare "patents pending" cover - this text on the back of the cover at the base, as shown on the photo on the left.
* Heavyweight laminated gatefold sleeve.
* Original Garrod and Lofthouse manufacture.
* In very good condition. 
* No holes, no tears, no writing and the flapbacks are undamaged and fully stuck down.
* Rating reduced to very good due to creases on the laminate outer face.
* A little scuffing on the spine, but  title completely clear and readable.

Cardboard Cutout
* Excellent EX condition
* Complete, unmarked, no tears, no cuts, no holes, no writing.

This wonderful LP, popularity greatly rejuvenated by Live8, has been not only visually rated, but also each track has been played and listened to all the way through -

LP Rating and Play

Side  1  is visually EX+  I found 2, and only 2, small scuff markings on track 5.
Side 2 I was about to rate as  near-mint NM and as completely free of all marks and scuffs; but as I kept looking in different bright lights I eventually found a scuff mark on track 1 - rated EX++

There are on this LP, as you would expect, no skips, no jumps, no clicks or funny noises and the only signs it has been played are some rubbings around the spindle hole .
