Beatles Russian Abbey Road EP and Picture Sleeve, MUCH Rarer Blue Label, Sleeve!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Collectors of foreign pressings know immediately and exactly what they’re looking at.
For those unfamiliar, Russian E.P’s and 45’s were issued without images of The Beatles on them. Instead, they were usually images of fields or flowers. See compere photo.

There was a small underground that used to print up their own photocopy sleeves, couple them with legitimate discs and sell them at a higher price, similar to the X-Ray “bones” flexis of the 60’s and 70’s. There have only been about half a dozen imaged sleeves discovered. See photo.
The very nice, added bonus to this copy is that it was paired with the far scarcer blue label Melodiya pressing. The main pressing plant in the Soviet Union pressed Beatles discs with the more familiar pink labels. Blue labels are from a subsidiary plant, which pressed Beatles discs in smaller quantity to meet demand. I’ve heard of a third plant in Latvia, but I don’t know what those labels look like.
This E.P. features the songs, “Here Comes the Sun” and “Because” on Side 1 and “Golden Slumbers” and “The End” on Side 2, playing at 33 1/3.
Picture Sleeve: EX. Nice, flat sleeve. Side-loader on the left-hand side. NO SPLITS.
A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your Picture Sleeve sleeve during shipping.
Vinyl: EX/EX. Both sides are beautiful, almost NM. There are a scant few extremely light lines per side, which the camera would have no hope in hell of being able to capture.
Labels: NM/NM. Both labels look freshly-printed. NO SPINDLE MARKS. See compere photo of the more common pink label.
Plates: C62-05613/3-1/ C62-05614/3-1. Matrices on both sides are machine-stamped from the factory. This disc is not pirated.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
