THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
This EXCELLENT UK MONO 2nd press dates from just after December 1965 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 579-4 & XEX 580-4
Stamper codes: 7/GHA & 2/GRT
Vinyl weight: 168g
Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthhouse' printed mono cover, complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & bright set with a small collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are clean & unworn and display no noticeable surface marks or wear in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless light hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal, but little else of any significance.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This fine sounding copy has received infrequent, careful play on good equipment and is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. My single careful play-check at volume detected a touch of background wear on 'Michelle' and on the introduction to 'In My Life', but there are no further audible distractions on this very enjoyable copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
An extremely firm & unworn example which retains a perfectly clean & unscratched high-gloss front panel laminate where the only trace of wear is a single 'thumbnail' towards the opening edge and four tiny spine wrinkles. There is a small bruise to the upper right corner, but all other are sharp & completely unworn, as are both opening edges.
The exposed rear panel is unblemished with slight age-toning, but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact & unworn.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +
Clean with general storage creasing but no writing, seam splits or tears.
