Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean, bright & unblemished set with just a small handful of faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean & unworn playing surfaces which in strong daylight display little more than some harmless light paper scuffs consistent with inner-sleeve removal, but nothing I would call a scratch. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more than amplify these minor marks but adds nothing of any significance. Both sides of this high-quality pressing lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This -2/-2 cutting was around only for a very short time before being replaced by more common -3/-3 version. The sound quality is extremely high from these early stampers and my careful play check at volume detected no groove/playwear distortion on any track or in either channel. The only distraction form the warm, clean & clear sound were two faint 'pops' on 'Drive My Car'. Apart from that there is little else to fault audibly which would disappoint even the most demanding listener.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean and firm example which retains a richly coloured, high-gloss front panel bearing just a few small spine bends but no 'thumbnails' or any other wear. There is a hint of rubbing to the corner's extremities but no heavy bumps or bruising to any. Both opening edges are also free from any significant damage or wear. The exposed rear panel is clean & white overall with a few small age-related blemishes but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are clean & fully intact and both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with slight age-toning and a few gentle storage bends, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
