This information is common to this auction and to all other auctions I have currently (I would very much appreciate you checking out my other auctions). The reason these records are for sale: I am selling my duplicates and music that don't listen to any longer. Every single album has been cleaned multiple times over the years with a VPI HW-16.5 vacuum cleaning machine. All albums have been stored upright in anti-static inner sleeves and poly outer sleeves, which you will receive with your purchase. I have play graded and inspected every single album and cover that is included in every auction. I have tried to be very critical of every album. In general, I would not still have these records if they were not in near perfect playing condition. A few albums have been tossed in this process, if they aren’t good enough for me; they certainly aren’t good enough for you. Starting prices are based on 50% or less of online prices of recent auctions or some arbitrary figure I feel is not worth my time to package and take to the post office. At the very bottom this description, is the criteria used to rate the record and cover. I will make brief comments on why a song/ side plays and is graded less than Mint. Some albums may only have very slight playing imperfections and only on some songs. I provide both a visual and play grade rating.
Regarding my comments about surface noise and Tics/Pops: My VPI/Rega/Grado rig is not the best at noise rejection. I state this because when I have played these records (not all of them) on friends systems, the noise/tics are much lessened or non-existent. The same is true when people play their records on my system there is noise they do not hear on their system. Go Figure. Please check my comments received on previous LP's I've sold to get a sense of my grading.
Shipping - All LP's will be shipped in boxes specifically designed for LP's, no Pizza Boxes or other home made boxes. I will ship multiple LP's (combined shipping to save shipping costs), if requested. $1.00 per each additional LP.
I also make comments as to how little or how much Surface Noise or Tics/Pops are on a song and are as follows:
1. Mint - No Noise
2. VF/Vary Faint (Tic or Surface Noise) - I hear something and it is 'Very Faint'. Can also be Percussion Instrument and is confused as a 'tic'.
3. F/ Faint (Tic or Surface Noise) - Very slightly louder than VF, but, does not take away from the music.
4. Slight Surface Noise or Tic - These are obviously louder and are unmistakable. However, the music is still very much in play, but, still louder.
5. Surface noise/Pops - Now we are getting into surface noise like gravel in a dryer or Pops that make you leap for your remote to press the mute key. NONE OF THOSE HERE.
