Description
Beatles Rubber Soul A VERY RARE , [1G ] Loud Cut ,First Day Pressing .Excellent ,SNOW WHITE BACK/ NO CREASES ON REAR OF COVER. Laminated FRONT COVER sleeve with very little signs of age / or wear. nice and flat with only minor creasing and tiny amount of laminate lifting on opening edge in line with Ringos chin as viewable on photos. first glance may look like a tiny tare though this only a slight nick on photo surface and not into card. GARROD +LOFTHOUSE flip back sleeve.
Matrix numbers XEX 579-1 +XEX 580-1 on this loud cut copy. Side 2 'Mother' code 1 at 9 o' clock and stamper code G at 3o' clock (SEE PHOTOS) illustrating 1G, That's it.!! No other letters or numbers , has to be one of the first [ 3,000 COPIES PRESSED] from EMI PRESSING PLANT AT HAYES MIDDLESEX FOR FIRST DAY OF RELEASE ON 3/12/1965 .Side 1 Mother' code 3 at 9 o'clock and Stamper code GG at 3o' clock.
No spindle wear at all on side 1 there are some light spiders at 4o' clock and a scratch at 1o' clock as appears in my photos. on play test Project Debut, does not affect play at all until [ Michelle] then light crackle is heard from the dead wax and on intro into the track though does not spoil listen. This scratch, [ Photographed to view ] and ,as described at 1o'clock on side 1 i believe from carelessness ,rather than a lot of use as a visual scan of the grooves on this side look near Mint + Vinyl clean and shiny. Take this scratch out of the equation and record would be a Strong Excellent, No spindle wear at all on this side.+ Label is Mint.
Side 2 some spindle wear present , light scuffs only on this side play tested great with no issues, sits flat on Record deck. Booming Bass throughout i find this[ -1] to be an enjoyable contrast to the later pressing and did not experience any distortion as sometimes described on this press .Vinyl still shiny. not been played much . Original Emitex inner in excellent condition.as viewed in my photos.
