Beatles - Revolver in MONO (Sept. 2014) 180g Vinyl LP From Original Analog Tapes. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
This is the 2014 mono reissue, pressed on 180g vinyl. The jacket is a close replica to the original U.K. Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back, as well as having replicated the original Parlophone labels.
The 2014 Mono reissue far surpass the originals in quality in many people’s opinions while retaining the mono presentation that was originally intended. I personally find the exceptional detail and low end exceptionally better than my original U.K. pressing, it has now been retired as a mere collectible.
“This album was cut from the original master tapes using a completely analogue signal path and with constant reference to the notes made by the cutting engineer for the first pressing of the LP. It has been made with current technology and without imposing the restrictions necessitated by the limitations of record players in the 1960s. Consequently, this version reveals more of the content of the audio on the master tapes.”
The vinyl is flat, clean and glossy. I do not see signs of handling, paper scuffs or and needle marks, the original poly-lined inner sleeve will be left in the jacket; however I will ship the vinyl in a MoFi sleeve outside the jacket to prevent seam splits.
The jacket has some minor blemishes from handling, any that I could see I did my best to photograph and include as part of the description. Photographed are a couple lines in the cover, a minor tear to the paper on the top-right rear and a couple very minor creases. (all shown)
