The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most ICONIC and COLLECTIBLE Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK on August 5th 1966.
Album Description/Condition:
This ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone HEAVYWEIGHT MONO Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in IMPRESSIVE Excellent condition. A very nice set of undamaged record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, and nothing more than just a few light centre spider trails, this is the full **Doctor Robert** song title.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-2.
Side 1 stampers: 6 RLR and Side 2: 4 RPL.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible to the centre of the side 1 record label.
BOTH sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT vinyl surfaces are in very nice Excellent condition, very clean vinyl to both sides, showing a few light surface hairlines to either side, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible.
Audio Quality:
ALL tracks play well with a POWERFUL Mono sound quality, i would say the album play’s Excellent there is very little background crackle, and certainly NO clicks, NO skips, the sound quality of this album is just superb.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL ‘Made in Gt Britain’ EMI advertising Inner Bag,as well as other EMI albums the bag advertises, The Beatles Revolver, and A Collection of Beatles Oldies, the bag is in respectable Excellent condition, with no seam splits.
…And is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, Front LAMINATED, FIRST ISSUE Ernest J.Day & Co Ltd sleeve, which is in respectable condition, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three large flip backs to the reverse.
The sleeve is in overall Very Good Plus condition, the Laminated front panel is clean and still retains its shine, with a little age toning to the opening and spine edges, and a small crease to the bottom left corner. The reverse panel of the sleeve is in Very Good Plus condition, showing light record wear and a rub line that goes across the back panel, all three of the large flipbacks are fine, with the exception of a small crease to the bottom left hand corner. The spine edge is undamaged and clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’.
A respectable example of this ICONIC Beatles UK ORIGINAL Mono LP, Beatles albums in this nice condition are difficult to find, most are played to death, and have very tatty sleeves, this example is a very nice one, with great sound quality.
