THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE,PLEASE ME'
This EXCELLENT & early UK STEREO pressing dates from summer 1963 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK....' wording but have 'The Parlophone Co Ltd..' rims & the 'Recording First Published 1963' text
An 'MT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper codes: 1/GM & 1/L
Vinyl weight: 151g
Housed in the a front laminated, 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover, complete with its original poly-lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve
Also present is a genuine original plastic outer sleeve from Brian Epstein's 'NEMS' record store in Liverpool

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & bright set with a touch of wear around each centre hole but very few spindle marks.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean and retain a good deal of their deep-gloss shine. The only significant surface marks visible in strong daylight are a 1cm hairline on side 1 and a longer 5cm surface scuff on side 2. Apart from that and some harmless wispy marks consistent with inner-sleeve removal, there is little else to fault - even directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This great sounding copy has received minimal careful play on good equipment and consequently the sound quality is clean, clear & unworn throughout. All tracks are free form any groove/playwear distortion in both channels and are free from any background crackle or interference of any kind. In fact, the only audible distraction to catch my ear during my playcheck were three soft ticks in the band between tracks 2 & 3 on side 2, making this copy tough to upgrade for sound quality.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A respectable example of this firm but easily worn cover which retains a clean, bright & undamaged front panel with just light storage rubbing to its high-gloss laminate, but no 'thumbnails' of any other significant traces of wear.
There is minor wear to each corner tip but no heavy bumps or bruising to any and both opening edges are sharp and unworn.
The exposed rear panel has a name written above the track-listing but is otherwise very clean. All of the delicate flipbacks are undamaged and in-place & both seams are smooth with no flaking laminate or stresses.
The spine is fully and clearly worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with minor storage wrinkles and no major faults.
