THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This beautiful UK MONO pressing of their debut LP dates from summer 1963 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1202
Both labels include the 'Recording First Published..' text & an 'MKT' purchase tax code is in the cente of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N
Stamper codes: 1,5/GGR & 4,5/GDO
Vinyl weight: 162g
Housed in an exceptional front laminated, tri-flipback, 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original & correct poly-lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright pair bearing only a few barely visible spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole only.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Factory-fresh deep-gloss playing surfaces which shine 'as new' in strong daylight with little more than a couple of harmless faint paper/stylus harlines and a sparkling rainbow shine beneath halogen light. Both sides of this high-quality pressing lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Played just a couple of times in quality equipmpment the sound is flawless throughout. There is no trace of any groove/playwear, even on the easily worn innermost tracks or indeed any other distractions on this wonderful sounding disc.
Cover: NEAR MINT
This time-capsule example looks like it left the shops yesterday, let alone 54 years ago.
These early covers are impossible to find in this condition. This exceptional example is amongst the finest we have seen.
The high-gloss front panel laminate is immaculate with no indentations, creasing or wrinkles of any kind.
Both opening edges are 100% sharp with no 'pushes' or indentations either side.
All corners are square & unbumped - even the vulnerable lower right corner tip is unworn and in great shape.
Both upper & lower seams are smooth & unstressed with no missing or flaking laminate.
The spine is unbent and retains full lamination.
All of the delicate flipbacks are in-place and are undamaged.
The rear panel itself is pristine white with just a couple of faint fingermarks being the only evidence of use.
You will not find a better example of this cover.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with a few gentle storage wrinkles, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
