Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & unblemished set with a moderate amount of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean and and retain all of their deep-gloss playing surfaces, undulled by over-play or poor storage. They only significant visible marks when viewed in strong daylight are a 1cm light scratch on side 1 and a few harmless light inner-sleeve removal marks on side 2. Closer inspection a few wispy paper hairlines but no further noticeable visual blemishes. Both sides of this quality and heavy pressing lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This great sounding copy has received some careful play on good equipment and plays cleanly and clearly throughout with no trace of any groove/play wear distortion or background interference. The only distraction which I heard during my single careful play-check at volume were a few light ticks in the band between tracks 1 & 2 on side 1 and a handful in the background on 'Ask Me Why'. Apart from that however, there really is nothing more to fault on this superb sounding early disc.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this fragile cover which retains a perfectly clean, unscratched and unworn high-gloss front laminate, free from any 'thumbnail' wrinkles or spine bends. There is a little shelfwear to the lower right corner but all the other, along with both opening edges are without any significant signs of wear. The exposed rear panel is extremely clean, white and totally unblemished - no writing or age-spots anywhere. There is some minor wear to the edge of the upper flipback but all are complete with no missing sections. Both seams are unstressed and unsplit and the spine is in perfect unworn condition.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +
Clean & flat with some general storage wrinkling, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
