Description

Beatles Please Please Me Stereo Gold Parlophone Original PCS 3042 Dick James music 1st issue mega rare LP!

This is the first stereo pressing of the first Beatles album before the labels changed design. Only a few thousand of these records were pressed with this label design - this is one of the few left in existence and at the top of every Beatles collectors list of wants.

The cover is the original 1st print with Angus Mcbean photo credit the far right bottom starting after the ‘s’ in songs above. It has some wear, some wear to the spine and edges. There is some tape on the bottom seam which is not discoloured and could probably be removed with care. The flaps are pretty good as shown - the pictures should be able to be enlarged - everything can be seen in them.

The vinyl is in similar condition. It’s been well played abs has some deeper marks, but the music comes through loud and most of the marks and scratches are drowned out by the music. It’s only in the quieter songs where more noise can be heard and this is not too distracting. It’s never louder than the music. I’ve photographed the record in natural daylight in various angles so you can see the vinyl surface.

I’d grade this is good to very good condition - it does not skip or stick and has no hissing from groove damage. It plays well for me start to finish.

A very rare album to find in any condition.
