Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me
(Parlophone PMC 1202 UK LP 1963)
This is a UK original 1963-64 Mono UK LP pressing. Technically it ia a 5th UK pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve (Garrod & Lofthouse). It has a large "Mono" on the front. It comes with its original tracing-paper lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve. This is in VG- condition. There is a small seam split at one side. There are a couple of bits of tape over a couple of tears too.
The record has yellow & black Parlophone labels. They have "The Parlophone Co..." & "Recording First.." texts. "KT" is stamped around the spindle hole on Side 2's label.
The matrix numbers, & mother stampers, are as follows:
Side 1: XEX 421-1N (RAM 1 11)
Side 2: XEX 422-1N (RMR ?)
Sleeve: There is a 3 cm tear at the front sleeve opening. It has a piece of tape stuck on the area on the inside. Therefore the tear doesn't notice too much. Otherwise there is some mild to moderate fading to the rear. There is some mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening. Light ringwear, & laminate creasing also. VG condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, and about 4 light hairline marks. VG condition. The labels are very clean and show mild spindle wear. Plays VG to VG+. There is some light crackle in some quieter places.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
