Matrix Side 1: XEX 421-1N STAMPER RD MOTHER 2
Matrix Side 2: XEX 422-1N STAMPER G1.1 MOTHER 12
Labels: The first pressing has a black label with gold print and “Parlophone Co. Ltd” printed at the start perimeter print. “Dick James Mus. Co” incorrect publishing credit for “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Misery” With or without tax code and with 33 1/3 on the label.
Sleeve: The first pressing ‘Gold’ sleeve is an Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated cover, with large “mono“ on front. The photo credit for the front cover: “Photo Angus McBean” is printed in the lower right corner. The text starts at the end of “s” in “songs”.
Inner: Polythene-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve.
Vinyl Visual Grade: EXCELLENT
In good natural light the record exhibits a glossy and clean appearance with very little sign of use. A very nice example of a difficult record to find in such condition.
Audio Grade: NEAR MINT
It sounds fantastic, crisp and punchy from the famous deep-cut early Parlophone pressings. Plays perfectly both sides with no crackle or hiss even between tracks. A superb listening experience.
Labels Grade: EXCELLENT+
Both labels are very clean with no sign of any spindle marks.
Sleeve: FRONT EXCELLENT : BACK VERY GOOD+
No rips or splits. Front still has its laminate and is in overall great shape. The back shows a bit of shelf wear and has a number 1 circled in pen
