Description

Getting horribly rare, this is an affordable way to own one of the pivotal moments in music.

Original Parlophone BLACK AND GOLD first pressing, PMC 1202. Matrixes:XEX 422 - 1 N/XEX 421 1 N...

Vinyl; in very nice condition. Bright and shiny with minimal hairlines. There are a couple of small scratches which do not affect play. Plays with occasional surface noise but overall is one of the best I've seen. Overall VG+++. Frankly considering its age and history it could be rated EX.

Labels; very clean with tiny rubbing around central hole. EX+.

Cover; Front picture is nice and vivid with only moderate creasing. Rear foldovers are intact but frayed. Print is clean and clear. Some berk has written BRIAN an inch long on the back....Bottom edge is severely worn and split for 3/4 of its length. Top edge is split for three inches. Titled edge is not bad but the name has worn away. Opening is fine with only moderate feathering. ... basically, bar the seam split it is a perfectly adequate cover and served me well for years until I recently bought a better one (at enormous expense). I'd grade it G++. But, again, given its age it could be classed as a VG. The photo is a good representation.

Overall this is a very nice copy. I last sold one 18 months ago for £125 and this is infinitely nicer than that one. The cover could be improved with sympathetic care as there is no immediately apparent damage. Its overall grade would be a very comfortable VG. You will not be disappointed.
