Description
THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This scarce 1964 pressing of 'Please, Please Me' was manufactured in Germany for sale to troops/personnel based at army bases there.
It is on the red, white gold-rimmed Odeon label: ZTOX 5550
Matrix numbers: SHZE 117A-1 & SHZE 117B-1
Vinyl weight: 153g
Housed in a glossy, German-printed cover with paste-on rear panel & complete with original Odeon advertising inner-sleeve.

Labels: VERY GOOD +
A bright white set with some marks around the centre hole but no writing or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain their deep-gloss factory shine but do bear a number of hairline scratches, although none are deep or 'feelable' beneath my fingertips.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD -
This copy has been played many times some low-level background is audible when playing. However, apart from a small handful of clicks in the band between tracks 6 & 7, there are no other significant or major audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A strong and glossy example which retains an unscratched front panel free from any creasing or 'thumbnails'. There is some minor shelfwear to the corners but no tears or feathering to either opening edge. Some yellowing is present towards the outer edges of the front panel and there is a 5cm split to the upper seam. The rear panel is extremely clean, white & unblemished.
The spine is discoloured although the text is readable and unworn.
