Description
Here we have for sale my Beatles First pressing in Mono on Parlophone with Dick James music credits ( later pressings used the correct Northern Sings credits) . The matrix numbers X421 -1N & X422-1N are clearly visible ( see photos) also confirming this to be a first pressing Lp.
This is one of the most valuable of any Beatles first pressing with the exception of the stereo version and is an investment given price increases in this sought after record.
However my copy has a later pressing sleeve with Angus McBean appearing under the S at the end of songs . I assume my relatives have over the years somehow mixed up a first pressing cover with a later cover.
My copy has been played throughout ownership prior to being handed down to me and consequently has signs of wear although albums in worse condition are seen for sale. There are hairlines light scratches and scuffs across both sides though I have play tested it again on a high end system pre sale with no jumps/skips. I have therefore graded this as follows:
Vinyl : at least Good as scuffs marks do not adversely affect the sound quality
Sleeve : Excellent - however as explained this is from a later pressing ( please see photos) .
This is an ideal copy for a starter collection and I’m selling as I’m lucky enough to have obtained a second copy in excellent condition.
Please note there are no additional postage costs and I am therefore selling this to UK buyers only. I have also added a new polylined inner in addition to the original and a new outer record sleeve . I’m open to sensible offers.
