UK 1966 *1st PRESS* 1/G, 1/G STAMPER EP
*ONE OF THE FIRST 300 COPIES EVER PRESSED*
On the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP 8952
Both labels carry the the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label & in both run-outs.
Housed in its original front laminated, bi-flipback picture cover.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 904-1 & 7TCE 905-1
Stamper numbers: 1/G & 1/G
Condition
Labels: EXCELLENT
Some small spindle marks but no major faults.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
Both surfaces are clean and bright with no significant marks or wear in strong daylight. Close inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals some wispy hairlines light consistent with light, careful play are visible but there are no scratches or any further marks or wear.
Play: EXCELLENT -
This copy has received just some careful play on good equipment & the sound overall is clean & warm. My careful playcheck at volume revealed no groovewear to any track with just a hint of light background on 'Michelle' but no further significant or major traces of wear.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A bright & clean example which retains a clean and undamaged from panel and no significant wear to the corners or opening edges. The rear panel has some storage marks and a small blemish but no tears, writing or missing paper. All seams are fully intact & undamaged.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
