THE BEATLES - 'NOWHERE MAN'

This fine & rare pressing of their final UK 4-track EP from the summer of 1966 is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP 8952

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and have 'Gramophone Co..' worded rims.

Unusually for this EP, a 'KJT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.

Matrix numbers: 7TCE 904-1 & 7TCE 905-1

Stamper codes: 1/R & 2/GT

The disc is housed within its original front laminated picture cover with round-ended flipbacks on the rear panel.

A spectacular set with, as the images suggest, very little wear to either.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Both playing surfaces are perfectly clean and retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shines with no dulling from play or storage. Apart from a few faint sleeve removal marks on side 2, there is little to fault visually in strong daylight and no further blemishes directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this well cared-for disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Play: EXCELLENT +

Clearly barely played, the sound throughout is clear, warm and dry with no traces of any groove/play-wear distortion on any track. The only distraction during my single play-check at volume were a couple of faint 'ticks' on 'Michelle' but none of the usual break up or wear which usually blights this track. Tough to finds a better copy.

Cover: EXCELLENT

A clean & bright example with minimal storage wear and no significant or major faults. The front panel is clean, unscratched & glossy front laminate and free from any 'thumbnails' wrinkles. All corners are sharp & square and both opening edges are unworn. The exposed unlaminated rear panel has a touch of age-discolouration but is free from any writing missing paper. All seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
