Please email me with any questions. My goal is for all eBay transactions to be happy ones.  Record & sleeve were graded by a collector of over 40 years and record store owner for 18 years.

Grading is very conservative and is a modified version of the traditional Goldmine system (see below).

Record will be carefully packaged between 2 pieces of cardboard and shipped in an album mailer.

GRADING TERMS

MINT   As new condition, never played, no signs of handling.

NEAR MINT+   Either never played or played very lightly, glossy and free of visible defects.  No writing, stickers or spindle marks.  NM+ covers have no creases, ring wear or splits.

NEAR MINT   Free from visible defects, played lightly, still has no scratches or scuffs.  May have very light signs of handling such as a fingerprint or one tiny spindle mark.

NEAR MINT-   No visible defects with the exception of a one or two tiny sleeving scuffs.  Very light spindle marks, but still handled very carefully.  NM- covers may have barely perceptible defects such as corner wear.

VERY GOOD++   Still glossy, slight signs of wear, light sleeving scuffs, no major scratches that would affect sound quality.  Covers may have very slight ring wear or slight imperfections.

VERY GOOD+   Medium gloss, light to medium sleeving scuffs, very light scratches, may have very light barely perceptible warping.  No defect should lessen the listening experience significantly.  VG+ covers may have light ring wear or minor seam wear.  A punch hole or cut-out may receive this grade.

VERY GOOD   May have more obvious flaws and lack most of the original gloss.  Groove wear is evident, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail.  Minor writing, tape, or stickers may be present.  VG covers may have light to medium ring wear, slight seam splits, minor staining or discoloration.

GOOD+   The record still plays through and might have some gloss left, but will exhibit much heavier groove wear, scuffing, scratches or heavy writing on the label.  G+ covers might have significant ring wear and seam splits, but will be mostly intact.

GOOD   Good doesn’t mean bad, but it doesn’t mean good either.  This will play through but is heavily worn.  Will exhibit all of the characteristics of G+, but may have little or no gloss left.  This condition would be acceptable only for extremely rare releases, to fill a hole in a collection, or for the less discriminating listener.  I generally will only sell titles in this condition if they are particularly scarce.  I will sometimes offer these as bargains on otherwise very expensive titles.
