IN THE BEST CONDITION THAT WE HAVE OFFERED FOR A LONG WHILE, **UNPLAYED** MINT RECORD, MINT LABELS, IMMACULATE NEAR MINT SLEEVE, SCARCE **FIRST** WINGS ALBUM, AND THE ONE AND ONLY UK WINGS ALBUM TO BE CREDITED AS AN APPLE RECORD!
‘WINGS WILD LIFE’ was released by EMI/APPLE Records UK on 7 December 1971. Most of the tracks (there aren't many) were recorded in the first week of August 1971, and most were finalised in one take.
The FIRST ISSUE UK EMI/Apple Vinyl LP, contains just eight tracks, and is on the Custom Picture Label, with 'Mfd in UK', 'An Apple Record' and 'An EMI Recording' printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both Record labels are in SUPER PRESERVED Mint condition, CLEAN NEW LOOKING labels, showing NO spider trails to either side.
The side 1 matrix YEX 871-11, and Side 2 matrix YEX 872-1.
Side 1 stampers: 3 TO and Side 2 stampers:3 MP.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in SUPERB UNPLAYED Mint condition. The Vinyl surfaces are as new.
Both sides of the LP play EXTREMELY WELL with NO skips or clicks.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL Bright Yellow Paper Inner Record Bag, which is a SUPER IMPRESSIVE Excellent Plus example, NO seam splits, just light creasing.
…And is protected in its ORIGINAL and VERY NICELY PRESERVED First Issue heavy duty Card Picture Sleeve.
The front of the outer sleeve is in Near Mint condition, the reverse of the sleeve is in clean Excellent Plus condition, showing mild ring wear. All edges, corners and Spine edge are FLAT and SQUARE. The Spine is FIRM and UNDAMAGED and the wording ‘Wings Wild Life PCS 7142’ clearly printed – a LOVELY example.
With hesitation, one of the FINEST EXAMPLES of this SCARCE FIRST UK Wings album that we have offered in a long while.
