BEATLES "Magical Mystery Tour" LP

Condition:- NEW - 1ST PRESS - FACTORY SEALED*.
Release Date: (USA) - 27th November 1967.
*I am putting this album up for auction for a friend and it is in my possession. There is a small tear in the shrink wrap, front top left, about half an inch long. There is also some VERY MINOR wear to the top corners, otherwise perfect with seal intact.
It would seem that this album was a bit of an inigma when released in the USA. It preceeds the UK release of "Magical Mystery Tour" by 11 days. The UK release consisted of two EP's as only six tracks were recorded for the film. Capitlol's problem was that EP's were not popular in the USA, so they decided to release it as an LP. The first side of of the LP is the six soundtrack recordings . The second side a collection of A and B sides released in 1967. They include "Penny Lane", "Baby, You're a Rich Man" and "All You Need Is Love". Although this album was released as the STEREO version (there was a MONO version Cat. No. MAL2835 released at the same time by Capitol)), some songs, which include the above mentioned, were 'fake' - so called 'processed' stereo sound. This album also contains a 24 page full colour picture book.
