Description
Mono copy of "The Beatles" (Apple PMC 7067/8), more commonly known as The White Album, bought new by the seller at Christmas 1968 and seldom played.
Bear in mind my conservative grading. I have bought records on eBay described as in EX condition that were in worse condition than this double LP.
The sleeve is a uniform shade, with clear embossing and "No. 0155227" stamped in the bottom right-hand corner of the front. The gatefold has seldom been opened, and sports only three spine creases - two at the front (of approx. 3 and 2 cm in length respectively), and one at the back (approx 2 cm in length.)
The original black inner sleeves are present, but are showing their age (they have worn away where the edges of the records have made contact. I will ship the actual discs in ordinary white inner sleeves to prevent any further damage in transit.)
The photographs are almost like new, although Lennon is showing signs of having been pressed up against an LP disc for years, and there is a 0.25cm nick in Ringo's picture.
The poster has not been opened for at least 15 years, and I am reluctant to open it for this description for fear of causing damage to it. It has only ever been stored in the record sleeve, and has never been used as an actual poster.
Finally, the records.
SIDE 1 (matrix XEX 709-1) has two slight scratches of approx. 3 and 2 cm in length. I would therefore grade it as being in VG condition (see the note about conservative grading.)
SIDE 2 (matrix XEX 710-1) has one slight scratch of approx 2 cm in length. VG+ (bordering on EX) condition.
SIDE 3 (matrix XEX 711-1) is practically EX condition.
SIDE 4 (matrix XEX-712-2) has a couple of minor blemishes which reluctantly force me to grade it as being merely VG+ condition.
None of the scratches affect the playing of the record. It was my custom to tape record my new records on high-grade equipment, and then listen to the tape.
The blurred photographs are due to the nature of the camera used, and do not reflect on the quality or condition of the records. The records will be dispatched as soon as payment has cleared.
