THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'
UK 1962 1st PRESSING 45
This superb copy thier debut 45, with Ringo on drums, is a UK 1962 1st pressing on the red & silver Parlophone label: 45 R 4949
Both labels OMIT the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text but do have 'Ardmore & Beechwood' publishing credits for both songs.
A 'PT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre hole of the 'Love Me Do' label.
'PZT' codes are also stamped into both run-outs.
A minor variation is the the 'Lennon-McCartney' writing credit for 'Love Me Do' has been nudged one space to the left, on most copies this is correctly aligned.
This disc itself is housed within it original 'beach-striped' Parlophone company sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
A superb unworn & unblemished set with just a handful of light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole and even less one side 1. As you can see, both centre holes themselves are unworn & undamaged.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surfaces of this immaculate and cherished copy retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine and bear no significant marks or any scratches whatsoever in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a few harmless sleeve removal marks/hairlines but no scuff or scratches anywhere. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
Both tracks of this highly attractive and well looked-after copy play without any major deterioration to the sound quality. My careful single playcheck at volume found there to be some light background throughout both tracks, but no groove/play wear distortion, clicks, pops or any other distractions or faults.
Cover
EXCELLENT
Clean & bright with just a touch of unavoidable storagewear, but no seams split, writing or tears.
