THE BEATLES - 'LADY MADONNA'/'THE INNER LIGHT'
UK 1968 1st PRESSING 45 & FAN CLUB INSERT
This NEAR MINT initial 1968 UK 1st pressing 45 is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5675
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK.. text & have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'The Inner Light' label.
Also present is the original Fan Club application form which was inserted only into initial copies on release.
Housed in an original & correct '7/3 to 50' shillings' green & white Parlophone company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18438-3 & 7XCE 18439-2
Stamper codes: 4/HG & 2/PO

A remarkable set which apart from two or three tiny spindle marks around the side 2 centre hole, as 'as new'.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both playing surfaces are in 'factory-fresh' condition with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my unforgiving powerful halogen desk lamp. It really could have been bought yesterday, let alone 42 years ago!
Play: NEAR MINT
Both sides of this barely, if ever played copy, sound clear & clean with no deterioration to the sound quality before, during or after the music. You won't need to upgrade this copy.

A superb example with just a few faint age-spots but with a fully intact perforation and nothing else to fault.
Cover

A top-class & correct example with just a hint or unavoidable storage wrinkling and one or two faint age-spots on the rear, but essentially 'as new'.
