THE BEATLES - 'LADY MADONNA'/'THE INNER LIGHT'

1967 UK *1st PRESSING* 45 & INSERT


This early & barely played 1st pressing copy is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5675

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text with upper case 'Gramophone Co..' rims.

The 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the 'Lady Madonna' label & in both run-outs.


This copy comes complete with its original Fan Club application form which was present with only the earliest copies.

Also present is its original green & white Parlophone company cover.


Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18438-3 & 7XCE 18439-2

Stamper codes: 1/AG & 2/MM


CONDITION


Labels: NEAR MINT

An immaculate set with no discernable spindle marks to either centre-hole.

Visual: 1. NEAR MINT  2. EXCELLENT

Prisine, deep-gloss surfaces, which apart from a single light surface mark on side 2, are totally unmarked in strong daylight with no further marks or wear directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp

Audio: NEAR MINT

A clean, clear & powerful sounding copy which plays 'as new' with no deterioration to the sound quality to either side.

Insert: EXCELLENT

Some light storagewear and a small crease to the upper left corner but the perforation is fully intact and there are no marks, writing or tears anywhere.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

General handling & storagewear but no major faults.


  • Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
