1963 UK STEREO 1st pressing with ‘Parlophone’ rim labels, ‘Recording First Published’ – without ‘sold in UK’ label text and with the rare JOBETE label credit.

Comes in its original ultra rare 1963 stereo sleeve with the large STEREO logo in the top right corner.

With a 1M stamper this one of the earliest stereo copies ever to be pressed.

This copy has the miss-spelled ‘Gotta’ on both cover and label. This copy dates to the original 22nd November 1963 release date.

Played only twice!

A time vault piece with a high investment potential. Early STEREO copies such as this one rarely come up for auction.

Pressed in very small numbers UK stereo 1st pressings of With the Beatles from 1963 are incredibly rare and few copies exist in this pristine condition. This copy would have comprised one of the first batches initially pressed on or around the first day of production.

CONDITION

Disc

Visual: MINT-

An absolute stunning looking disc which looks as fresh as the day it was pressed. The vinyl has a beautiful high gloss rainbow sheen which appears MINT in strong daylight. On prolonged and very close inspection under a strong halogen desklight nothing much more is revealed other than one or two of the faintest handling marks.

Labels:  MINT-

A beautiful set of pristine labels with evidence that the record has only been played twice in its 55 year history. Side two label has the rare JOBETE label credit and the miss-spelt ‘You Really GOTTA a Hold on Me’. The KT tax code visible on side two.

Audio:  Side 1 MINT- Side 2 MINT

Fabulous dynamic audio with no groovewear or distortion to any of the music signals. Other than some very light static on the fade out of It Wont Be long the audio grades at MINT. The quieter instrumental tracks such as Till There Was You and You Really Gotta Hold on Me play superbly. There are no pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick. A stunning audiophile copy in glorious analogue STEREO.

EXC+ to MINT-

A beautiful example of this incredibly rare 1963 STEREO cover with the LARGE STEREO logo featured in the top right hand corner. Difficult to appreciate that this sleeve is 55 years old. The front panel is in superb condition and is free of any thumbnail creases and still retains it original high gloss laminate sheen. The back panel is clean with no writing. There is evidence of a label residue and some light rubbing on the bottom right corner along the edge of the flipback. On very close inspection I detected a very small abrasion mark at the top upper right on the rear panel but this is near invisible and is not apparent on first inspection. The opening edge is very sharp and still has the unworn and natural serration of the EMI factory guillotine. The rear panel features the misspelling of ‘Gotta’. There is very little to fault other than some signs of natural ageing. All flipbacks are strong and fully intact. The spine is pristine and in perfect condition. A fabulous example of this extremely rare cover.
