Condition:
VINYL : Immaculate ! Rarely does one get the opportunity to grade a Beatles album, especially one as rare as this, in Mint condition. Wary as I usually am about giving a record full marks when 9 out of 10 seems safer, it is extremely difficult not to rate this vinyl otherwise as it is pristine !! No spindle marks, paper scuffs or anything really that can detract from this magnificent pressing that has been carefully stored since purchase nearly 20 years ago. You simply will never see a better copy than this.

JACKET: The gate-fold sleeve ( with Limited edition sticker ) is in fabulous shape as you would expect. No writing, or splits and the cover presents superbly. There is the smallest shade of a dark mark on the back sleeve ( center-top ) from storage and if anything it is an indentation of the vinyl and certainly doesn't qualify as ring-wear in my book .. barely worth mentioning really however I believe in an accurate description. The original cut-out is enclosed and it is unmarked and as new. No pink inner sleeve was issued with this pressing and instead it came with a white paper bag.

Here is a magnificent issue of this seldom seen 1987 commemorative Limited Edition Australian red vinyl pressing of this classic Beatles album.
Never in the history of Australian record production has there been more confusion and apparent stupidity from EMI than with the various pressings of this album … in fact from Day 1 in 1967 they have managed a right stuff-up in one shape or another concerning imported sleeves followed by local cover production with some gate-fold / some not. Even the inclusion of the insert was considered more or less a 'lucky dip' upon purchase. Even 20 years on when they issued this oddity it came in various shades of red wax from vivid scarlet to deep crimson and was sold with or without the gate-fold sleeve simultaneously.
Fortunately here however we have the complete package … and an absolute beauty it is too that will make a very attractive & valuable addition to your collection.
