Paul McCartney – Ram - Genuine 1971 UK 1st pressing on the dark green Aple label dating to the initial release date 17th May 1971. Catalogue number PAS 10003.
Paul McCartney’s second solo album and now considered a classic with tracks such as Too Many People, Smile Away, Monkberry Moon Delight and Back Seat of My Car.
Released in 1971, Ram was largely responsible for the rift that developed between himself and John Lennon. The songs had various subliminal messages aimed at Lennon. Now 44 years old these original UK 1st pressings are becoming tough to find in this condition.
The audio on this particular copy is outstanding with a richness and depth that simply isn’t present on the newly released re-mastered version.

Visual: EXCELLENT+
The vinyl has a clean and glossy sheen and appears virtually unmarked in strong daylight. Under a strong halogen desklight there are some very minor superficial micro marks and whispy sleeve removal marks. The heavy duty disc lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Labels: EXCELLENT+
A superb set of clean labels with some minor spindle trails. There is no writing or personlisation to any label.
Audio: MINT-
A fabulous sounding copy with rich analogue sound. A great introduction to anyone who is not familiar with this album and wants to hear it in its original analogue form. The sound is clean, clear and completely undistorted. The musical depth present on this album can only really be heard on these first pressings and makes this particular copy a joy to listen to. There are no loud pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.
