Description

(Note to newbies: “Still in shrink does not mean still sealed!  It means the album is opened, but the owner didn’t pull the shrink off the cover.)

This week’s auctions are from my A-List.  All Beatles LP’s listed will either be first or second pressings, all still in the shrink!  Be sure to look at them all.

About 20 years ago, I made a grievous mistake with this LP.  I bought it sealed, having talked the seller down.  Obviously, you have no way of knowing which pressing a sealed Magical Mystery Tour is, because the same cover was used from 1967 to 1976.  Further, there were no breathe holes in the shrinkwrap.  True, some titles were issued without them, and this was one.  Finally, I tapped the mouth of the cover to see if I could see the red inner sleeve, and it was white.  So, satisfied that it was a reissue, I opened it to see which one.  To my horror, the inner sleeve was packaged so that the white end of the red sleeve was against the shrink.  This was an original copy.  It still is.

Cover--- Stunning gorgeous.  The gatefold has never been opened since 1967.

Inner Sleeve---The originally issued inner sleeve is present.  It’s the Capitol red gradient sleeve, left over from Sgt. Pepper. Capitol exhausted their supply of those sleeves on this album’s first pressing.  All seams are steady-strong.  No splits.  Your “Magical Mystery Tour” LP will be shipped in a generic inner sleeve, so as not to damage your original Capitol sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl---Drop-dead gorgeous, gleaming blinding vinyl.  Looks stunning.  Completely 1967 brand new near mint vinyl.  Plates are B24/ A21.

Labels---Labels are perfect.  Not a single spindle mark.  Scranton pressing.  BMI credits all the way down both labels indicates a first pressing.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Shipping is $4.00 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.

Money back guarantee if you're not happy with your purchase.
