Beatles LP Beatles VI MONO 1965 First Pressing in Shrink Strong VG+ Almost EX Vinyl

Vinyl--- VG+/ EX.  Both sides shine like brand new, with the exceptions of a couple hairlines per side.  Side 1 has a very light but visible scuff that you can’t feel with your fingertip.  LP would have been squarely EX had it not been there.

Plates--- F13/ F13.  Los Angeles pressing, has the asterisk in the dead wax.

Cover--- EX.  Looks very close to how it looked in the shops in 1964.  Original price tag still affixed to front cover.  The two right-hand corners have push-ins.  Shrinkwrap did a good job!  VERY little aging, however there may be some slight yellowing.  These old eyes can’t make that call on this one.

First pressing cover had the song titles in the wrong sequence.  The far more common cover has them corrected into the proper sequence.  This cover has the disclaimer on the back, “See label for correct playing order.”

You will see in the photos that there is some sort of dirt that has accumulated at the top seam on both sides.  This is on the outside, and it is removable!  I tested it, but didn’t bother to remove.  The new owner will be able to do that.

Labels--- Both NM.  They look 1965-just printed.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original 1965 west coast thumb-tabbed olive green Capitol sleeve is present and in EX condition.  Would be a NM sleeve, except that there are the beginning signs of white wear on the side seams, and I mean just the beginnings.

Otherwise, sleeve is flat, crisp and bold print.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

RIAA: 6

A VERY nice copy all around.  This one could be your keeper, or you can upgrade it at your leisure.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
