CONDITION

Disc

Visual: Side one EXCELLENT+  Side two EXCELLENT-

Side one appears virtually mint when viewed in strong daylight. On closer inspection under a halogen desklight there are some whispy sleeve removal marks and the odd very faint handling mark – grades excellent+. Side two when viewed in strong daylight has some faint hairline marks, non of which are feelable or effect play. On closer inspection nothing much more is revealed other than whispy sleeve removal marks, grades excellent minus. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable. All in all a well preserved disc of this original -3N 1964 UK 1st pressing.

Labels: EXCELLENT+  Side two EXCELLENT

There are light spindle marks to each label indicating a moderate amount of play. The label text is unworn and retains much of its original freshness. The central spindle hole is unworn. The KT tax code is visible on side one. There is no writing or personalization to either label.

Audio: Nr MINT

Stunning mono analogue audio throughout with no noticeable groovewear to any of the music signals. Most gaps are silent. There are no loud pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.

Cover

EXCELLENT+

A superb and well preserved 1st issue dark UK cover that still retains much of it’s original shop freshness with little to no wear. Both the front and back panels retain their original high gloss sheen. The front cover has a couple of very light handling marks and grades at or around near MINT. The back panel has a couple of laminate bend/creases and grades at excellent. The easily damaged interior gatefold grades at exc+. There is no writing or personalisation to any part of the cover. A fine example of this genuine 1964 1st issue UK sleeve with the heavier and darker image; later sleeves were paler and are now unfortunately being used by sellers to replace worn and damaged 1st issue covers. This however is positively a 1st issue UK cover from the initial release date of 4th December 1964 and now very tough to find in this condition.

Inner-sleeve EXCELLENT

Clean & correct 1964 ‘rice paper’ inner with no writing and no seam splits.
