READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

I recently took in a large collection of Beatles albums, which range in condition from a nice VG to EX.  They feature labels from first pressing Capitol to Apple through to the purple Capitol label.  I tossed out all the garbage, and will be selling these copies interspersed with my regular inventory for anyone who would like to have great play-copies, but who generally can’t afford the rarer variations for sale.

The vinyl is collectable on these, although the covers may be a bit dirty, and/or split.  Here’s a gorgeous NM keeper copy!

Beatles LP 1969 Yesterday…and Today Record Club Green Label, Refreshed A1 Plates, NM!

One of the nicer surprises in this collection was this copy of the green label Record Club “Yesterday…and Today.”  It’s also an example of the vinyl being a stunning gorgeous copy and the cover being pretty rough.

**By the way, there were two copies of the Record Club “Yesterday…and Today” green label in this collection.  The other might have been a play copy.  It has a commercially-issued cover, vinyl is VG/VG+ and it’s also for sale this week if you’re outbid on this beauty. **

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  The only flaws are a few manufacturer’s clouds in the playing surfaces on each side, but not much at all.

Plates--- A1/A1.  Refreshed plates.  Record Club issues had no Capitol insignias, but they did have the distinctive numeral “8” inserted into the catalogue number in the dead waxes on both sides.  Those are present.

Cover--- G.  Top and bottom seams are taped back together, due to Record Club covers being so brittle.  Spine is very weak, and is splitting in parts.  Back cover is moderately yellowed and has moderate dirtwear.  This one needs replacing to be worthy of the vinyl.

Labels--- EX/EX.  Just one or two very short spindle marks per side.  Both labels have the inserted numeral “8” in the catalogue numbers.  Labels are full bodied color, full heavy gloss.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Moderately yellowed, but NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 16

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
