READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

This week, there are 15 original pressings that other sellers had graded as NM, but fell more into the strong VG+ to Excellent range.  A few really do have NM vinyl.  Those happen to be duplicates in my collection.  Covers are mostly “meh.”  Average damage.

I hope there are some treasures for you that will serve as your keepers.  Have a look at them all!

Beatles LP 1968 Beatles White Album 7 Errors Scranton COMPLETE VG+ VINYL!

Vinyl--- VG+/VG+/EX/VG+.  All four sides retain the lion’s share of new shine.  Not NM, but this copy is VERY nice.  Just a handful per side, of little imperfections.

Plates--- J46/ J45, J48/ J44.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- Solid VG.  I’m guessing that this cover was switched.  The serial number is way too high to have been issued with first-pressing discs.

Outer cover has dirtwear that should be considered appropriate for this album’s age.  Most copies we see are heavily soiled, with dark dirtwear.  This one still have lots of white, but at the same time, the dirtwear is moderate.

Top and bottom seams are weak.  Some splitting is occurring, and there is moderate shelfwear.  Spine looks very nice.

Gatefold--- Seam is muscular strong.  But there is moderate foxing at the top of the gatefold, both panels.

Poster--- Poster is a very strong VG.  There is some dirt above George’s head, and a modest amount of finger divots from handling.  Full gloss.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Photos--- All four photos are EXCELLENT, practically NM.  For that reason, I also don’t think these are original to the LP’s.  The “Printed in U.S.A.” circle is present at the bottom left of the photos, but every other copy I’ve seen of the errors version has photos that also say “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” That said, these photos are stunning gorgeous early copies, printed on thick cardboard stock with 100% full gloss.

Labels--- VG+/ VG+, NM/ NM.  Record 1’s labels have spindle marks, but Record 2’s labels don’t.  All 7 errors are present.  See photos.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Generic white inner sleeves with no die-cut holes for the labels to show through.

A generic set of inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeves en route.

RIAA: N/A

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
