READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles LP 1964 STEREO Introducing the Beatles Vee Jay GENUINE, Nice VG!

Collectors know that a VG grade shouldn’t mean garbage.  But unfortunately, that term gets assigned to some of the worst-looking records ever. 

This copy is a solid VG, rather than the vulgar side of VG.  I stared at this one long and hard before deciding to go ahead and part with it this year.

Vinyl--- VG/VG.  Light lines and light scuffs only, both sides.  Nothing feelable.  Sound reproduction on these Vee Jay albums is always great, stereo reproduction is always very beautiful if you’ve ever played one of these.

Plates--- Machine-stamped “MR” in a circle, hand-etched initials, “URJ.”

Cover---G.  Top and bottom seams have moderate shelfwear.  Spine is missing a fair amount of slick, but NO SPLIT SEAMS.

By the way, regarding the legitimacy of stereo covers, this one has all the usual comperes, such as George’s shadow, no breakup in the letter “H” in the word, “Honey” on the back cover, and all four dots are present on the spine.

I’ve owned 3 stereo copies over the years, and the one question that remains is that the catalogue number on the back cover at the top right is the mono catalogue number, VJLP 1092.  Has anyone ever seen a copy with either of the stereo catalogue numbers, “VJLPS 1092,” or “SR 1092” in that place?  All 3 of mine were VJLP 1092.  Please reach out if you have one with a stereo catalogue number.

**There’s a gold foil “STEREO” sticker affixed to the bottom left of the cover.  It looks to me like it was either glued on to the cover, or if it were there originally, it may have fallen off, and a previous owner may have reapplied it.  But it definitely isn’t a factory-glued sticker at this point.**

Labels--- VG+/VG+.  Labels are still pretty clean, but they do have a lot of very light spindle marks.

**Catalogue number includes the “S,” indicating “STEREO.”  “VJLPS 1062.”  The word, “STEREO” appears to the right of the playhole, under the “Side 1” and “Side 2” designations.**

Vee Jay Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Remarkably bright sleeve.  This is the most un-yellowed Vee Jay inner sleeve I’ve ever seen.  Has glue strips down each side, though.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Vee Jay inner sleeve en route.

If this is to be a Christmas gift for your Beatles collector this year, it’s a very generous one!  Otherwise, some lucky Beatles collector will be treating themselves to a great acquisition for their library!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
