Description

The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the vinyl I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.

John Lennon & Yoko Ono-"Wedding Album" box set, Apple SMAX-3361, Scranton pressing released in 1969. This is a first pressing, not the more recent re-issue. Set is complete, with no missing items. Starting with the box, it's in VG condition with some general age wear. all four corners of the bottom lid have been taped and one corner of the top lid has been taped. Contents are NM-/NM unless otherwise noted:

1)the LP. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in VG+ condition with a few light marks. Cover is in NM- condition.

2)the marriage certificate, pasted to the inside of the top lid

3)"The Wedding" double sided poster. When folded, showing some stains on both sides (not sure where they came from)

4)photograph of a piece of the wedding cake

5)tri-fold cartoon strip by John of the wedding. this shows some foxing

6)white PVC "Bagism" bag

7)a strip of passport photos

8)a postcard

9)"The Press", a 20 page booklet of press clippings

That's it. This has become a very rare set and a must for the serious John/Beatles collection.
