Description

In this auction:

  • “WEDDING ALBUM” by John Ono Lennon & Yoko Ono Lennon

  • This is EMI Odeon Records EAS – 80702.

  • This box set title was originally issued in late 1969.

  • The box set in this auction is a JAPANESE VINYL REISSUE PRESSING that was issued April 5, 1977.

  • I refer to this as a “box set” because, while it contains one vinyl record, it was issued with numerous inserts as additional contents of the box. These included:

  • OBI Strip

  • Folded 2-page sheet in Japanese about John and Yoko and the Wedding Album

  • A copy of the Gibraltar Marriage License pasted inside the box lid

  • 12” x 12” booklet entitled “The Press” with 8 double-sided pages + front & rear covers. (Two sample pages are in the pics.)

  • 1.5” x 6” strip of photos of John & Yoko

  • 3.5” x 5’ postcard

  • 12” x 36” two-sided poster featuring drawings

  • 11.5” x 11.5” photo of a slice of wedding cake

  • 24” x 36” two sided poster labeled “The Wedding”

  • The vinyl record

  • The gate-fold cover for the vinyl record

  • THIS JAPANESE WEDDING ALBUM BOX SET IS COMPLETE! Nothing is missing! (NOTE: A translucent mylar bag with “Bagism” printed on one side to hold the wedding cake photo was included with the previous issue of this box set but it was NOT issued for this 1977 reissue.)

  • All items are also identified as CORRECT for this box set by the number “EAS - 80702” printed in the lower corner of each item. This is the catalog number for this VINYL LP issue.

  • The CONTENTS listed below are all in NEAR MINT (NM) CONDITION:

    • The BOX TOP with just a VERY, VERY TINY mark (probably made by a fingernail) near the lower right corner (of the front cover) of the TOP COVER. There are NO split corners.

    • The BOX BOTTOM also with NO split corners.

    • The GATE-FOLD COVER of the LP

    • The VINYL RECORD

    • STRIP OF PHOTOS (of John & Yoko)

    • PHOTO of a SLICE of the WEDDING CAKE
