APPLE Records PRO-6498/SPRO-6499 - 1972
This is a Radio Play Only - DJ PROMOTIONAL Copy 7". Both sides were produced by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. NO stock copies were ever released of this record. Because no regular pressings were ever made, these promotional only copies are even harder to find. From Peel's album The Pope Smokes Dope.
Vinyl is in excellent shape. It is very clean and has the original sheen. The A Side has what looks like one mark on it, but it is actually a notation, (made by a nervous music director at some radio station) that says "no" and the underline is what looks like the mark. The "no" is much harder to see, but it is there. It is very light and does not affect playback. There is some overall light surface noise in the lead in and during quiet parts, but it is more likely from being a cheap pressing than from being played. (Only available for radio promo use, and it received "no play" when it arrived!)
The side A label has "no play" written on it three times, it is so faint that I barely noticed (visible in picture) and a date stamp on both sides (arrived April 18, 1972) - Generic green radio station sleeve.
