Description
Here for auction is an absolutely beautiful copy of The Beatles killer debut LP "Please Please Me." This 1986 Japan red vinyl mono edition is prized by audiophiles the world over and reputed to be among the closest in audio quality to a first press UK Parlophone.
This particular copy has true NM vinyl and audio that will please the most discriminating audiophile. I have just listened to the record in its entirety using an audiophile cartridge (Dynavector XX-2) and I can report that aside from the powerful mono mix this Japanese vinyl is whisper silent.
The cover is in NM, perhaps NM- as well--just the slightest bit of aging on the back cover, but nothing to significantly detract from the overall NM presentation.
The labels are in beautiful NM condition with a single, very slight spindle mark on side two. The lyric insert is included and has a bit of browning from age.
Perhaps visible in the photograph are some very slight flaws in the OBI--towards the bottom left there is a perhaps 2mm tear and a couple of creases and the slightest bit of soiling on the rear. Again, this is very slight, but to grade conservatively I'll call it VG+(+).
If you are looking for an audiophile grade mono mix of this landmark LP, look no further.
