CONDITION
Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A sparkling set which bear just a small number of light, well-aimed spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole but only 2 or 3 on label 1.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only visible mark visible in strong daylight is a single non-feelable surface line across side 1, but apart from that the entire disc is unmarked and without that mark would have graded an easy EX+. Even closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a few barely visible wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines. Both sides of this heavy, well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Clean sounding mono copies of this album are hard to find but fortunately this copy has received just a handful of careful plays on high-end equipment and is flawless throughout. My single careful play-check found absolutely no evidence of any groove/playwear or any clicks, pop or other such noises. The aforementioned mark is completely inaudible, making this one the best sounding copies you can find and is will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
Carefully stored in a clean, non-smoking environment these past 47 years, this striking unworn example retains a superb unscratched front laminate. The only trace of wear is a single spine bend but there are no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or any other creasing or wear. There is a faint line in the laminate which appears to be from manufacture and not a result of wear.
All corners are in clean & square with just a faint bend visible to the lower right (visible below left), but both opening edges are sharp & unworn.
The easily blemished rear panel is perfectly clean & white with no marks or wear or any kind, anywhere and all flipbacks are perfectly clean & fully intact.
Both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with minor age-toning and a few gentle storage bends, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
