1965 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP

This NEAR MINT UK 1965 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' texts & have 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is embossed in the centre of the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse printed cover with an outlined 'stereo' logo.
Complete with its original rice paper lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1
Stamper numbers: 3/AM & 3/MG
Disc weight: 148g

A first class set with just a single tiny light spindle trail to the side 1 label & three faint creases to the paper made during manufacture.

Both sides of this outstanding copy retain all of thier 'as new' deep-gloss shines with no traces of any clouding or 'bag rash' to any area.
In fact, apart from an almost invisible light fingernail scuff mark on side 1, both surfaces are totally unmarked and 'MINT'.
Even close inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp fails to show up even any wispy inner-sleeve hairlines or indeed any other form of visual wear.
Both sides of this thick, heavy disc lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

This incredible sounding disc has been barely, if ever played and sounds 100% 'as new' throughout.
My careful play-check at volume detected absolutely no traces of groovewear or background noise on or between any track or in either channel.
Even the easily worn innermost tracks and the delicate 'Yesterday' play perfectly and as they did the day they left the shop 43 years ago.
You will not be disappointed.

So hard to find in this condition, this extremely respectable example is still pristine white with no yellowing or discolouration to any part.
The front panel is clean and glossy with just a single bend to the lower left corner & a faint disc impression from storage the only factors keeping this from being perfect.
Both opening edges appear untouched and the rear panel is beautifully white, perfectly clean and totally unmarked.
All flipbacks and both seams are intact, smooth & undamaged and the fully worded spine is uncrushed & fully laminated.

Clean & crisp, this is 100% 'as new' with no toning, splits, tears or writing.
