1966 UK 2nd PRESS *STEREO* LP
**RARE 'SOLID' STEREO COVER LOGO**
This rare 1966 UK *2nd stereo pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the rare small, solid stereo front logo.
Complete with its original 1966 black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168- & YEX 169-1
Stamper numbers: 1/MP & 2/MD
Labels: NEAR MINT
Just a single faint spindle trail on side 1.
*2nd pressings are identifiable by the *asterisk next to the song 'I Need You'.
On first pressings it comes after the title, on second pressings it is before.

Both sides appear MINT when viewed in strong daylight with no groove-whitening or dulling to the surfaces from improper long-term storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy sleeve removal/paper hairlines but no other marks or any scratches.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This wonderful sounding disc has clearly received just a few careful plays on top quality equipment.
The sound throughout is perfectly clean & clear with no traces of any background noise or groovewear on any track.
Even the frequently damaged innermost tracks and 'Yesterday' play without fault.
Both run-ins and all bands play without intereference & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Bright, clean and white with no yellowing front or rear, this rare example bears just a few small, light wrinkles to the front panel but no major wear.
The corners are all clean and unbumped and both opening edges are clean & sharp with no signs or use or wear.
The rear panel displays a few faint age-spots but is otherwise clean and bright with no writing or missing paper.
There is a 2cm stress mark to the spine but the wording is undamaged.
All flipbacks & seams are in-place & undamaged.
Both discs have been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
