Description
THE BEATLES - 'HELLO, GOODBYE'/'I AM THE WALRUS'
This hard to find UK 1st pressing with a solid centre dates from initial November 1967 release on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5655
99.9% of solid centred copies of this 45 were 'Made in France', however this one has 'Made In Gt. Britain' printed around the lower rim.
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' worded rims.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18433-1 & 7XCE 18434-1
Stamper codes: 8/OH & 7/GAT
Housed in a its original green & white Parlophone company sleeve.

An exceptionally clean & unworn set bearing just three or four faint spindle trails around the 'I Am The Walrus' centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Factory-fresh, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are totally unmarked and as 'new in' strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but little to suggest this disc is 45 years old.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Played just once or twice on quality equipment, both sides sound as fresh and clean as the day this disc was purchased. Both tracks play flawlessly with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or indeed any other noticeable audible distractions. No need to upgrade this.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with just a light disc impression from storage but no writing, tears or seam splits.
