In this auction is 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve & 1 original Beatles 45RPM Record. Here are the details:

·       “A HARD DAY’S NIGHT” b/w “I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER” by The Beatles 

·       This is Capitol Records 5222.

·       This record was issued July 13, 1964. 

·       The PICTURE SLEEVE is in NICE VG+ CONDITION. It is CLEAN and MOSTLY a FLAT SLEEVE with light wear and light overall signs of handling. There are NO seam splits, NO tears, NO writing, and NO ring wear present on this sleeve. (Check the images and you will see how nice and clean this picture sleeve is!)  

·       This is a Straight Cut (East Coast) Sleeve.

·       This record is significant because “I Should have Known Better” and “A Hard Day’s Night” were ONLY initially released/issued in the U.S. as singles by Capitol Records. These 2 songs never appeared on a Capitol Records LP. They were on the United Artists LP “A Hard Day’s Night” sound track. In fact, “I Should have Known Better” did not make it onto another Beatles LP until the “Hey Jude” LP (aka “The Beatles Again” album) that was released by Apple Records in 1970, six years after its release as a Capitol 45 RPM single!!

·       The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION. There are some very light surface hairless/scuffs (none of them “feel-able” and lots of gloss! There is an asterisk in the trail-off indicating that this vinyl was pressed at Capitol Records’ Los Angeles plant.

·       The VINYL is a FIRST PRESSING. We know this because “Unart Music Corporation” is listed on the labels as the publisher.
