Description
These Japanese Red Vinyl Mono recordings are purported to be amongst the finest ever pressed! The 10 LP Series was pressed twice. Once in 1982 and again in 1986. The LP’s are virtually identical except for the “OBI” marketing strips. The 1982 OBI’s are the thinner version with the words “The Beatles Original Mono” written at the top.
The LP for this auction is the 1986 version Hard Days Night. Look at the photo to see the 1986 OBI – much wider and more colorful than the 1982 OBI. Cool. This OBI reads: “20th Anniversary of Japan Concert, It was 20 Years ago.” Meaning the last Beatles concert in Japan had been 20 years ago in 1966!
The vinyl is gorgeous – M- as if unplayed
The OBI Strip is beautiful- M-
The jacket is Excellent with a couple of crease in lower right hand corner, not bad at all.
The foldover lyric sheet in excellent condition with a little yellowing from age
