UK 1964 1st PRESS EP
This EXCELLENT 1964 UK 1st pressing 4-track EP is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP 8824
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed picture cover.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 850-1N & 7TCE 850-1N
Stamper codes: 1/P & 1/L
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean & bright set with just a handful of light marks around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shines and display no significant marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight. Close inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals just some harmless wispy paper hairlines but no heavy scuffs, marks or scratches.
Play: EXCELLENT
This superb copy has been barely, if ever played. All tracks play clearly & cleanly with no audible faults or wear. Apart from slight background between tracks, there really is little to fault here.
Cover
VERY GOOD
This attractive cover is in fine shape with a clean & glossy front panel which bears a few light bend towards the opening edge and one more towards the upper left corner. There is a little rubbing to the lower corner extremities & a tiny 5mm tear to the front opening edge but the rear panel is clean, white and wihtout any major marks. There is a 2cm stress to the upper seam but no other faults or wear.
