Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and they will have a grade below that. George Harrison-"Bangla-Desh"/"Deep Blue" UK import 45, Apple R 5912, released in 1971. This is a very scarce demo pressing of this 45. Included is the scarcer still picture sleeve. This is one of the hardest to find of the Apple picture sleeves. It was only available with the very first pressings of the 45. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in NM- condition; it has a couple of extremely fine hairline marks. Labels are in NM condition. The picture sleeve was sold to me several years ago as a UK sleeve. I can't say for sure that it is as I've never had another one to compare it to. I've been told by someone else that it's a Danish sleeve. I just don't know. It is what it is. If any one has any information that will determine it's origin for sure, please let me know. The picture sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with just a little wear showing on the white back. There are no seam splits There is one tiny (and it's very tiny) tear at the top middle at the front. Very rare piece of George vinyl, in overall excellent shape, in a rare format, with an even rarer picture sleeve.
