GEORGE HARRISON: ‘WONDERWALL’ – AN ORIGINAL 1968 UK VERY FIRST ISSUE FACTORY SAMPLE PROMOTIONAL APPLE VINYL LP SAPCOR 1

This was GEORGE HARRISON’S first solo album release, and the FIRST SOLO release by a Beatle, and also the very first Apple album release.

Released on 1st November 1968, this FIRST ISSUE Apple LP is on the Custom Apple Record Labels, with, Sold in UK, and Mfd in U.K. label text.

Both record labels are in SUPER CLEAN Mint Minus condition, BRIGHT, UNDAMAGED record labels, with no more than one faint centre spindle line to each side, on the side 1 record label there is a White with Red Print sticker that reads, FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE.

The official stamped side 1 matrix is: SAPCOR 1A 1, and side 2, SAPCOR 1B 2 The side 1 **FIRST ISSUE** Stampers are: 1G and side 2 stamper: 1G.There is also a scratched out matrix on both sides which read, STAP 1A 1,on side one, and STAP 1B 2, on side two.

Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in Mint Minus condition, barely played vinyl with only one or two faint, inaudible, wispy surface hairlines.

The Vinyl LP comes in it’s Original Black die-cut Inner record bag and is housed in its Original Glossy Laminated Picture sleeve, and also includes the Apple Records thin card insert.

The Black die-cut Inner Sleeve is in Excellent condition, showing light creasing, and a small half inch split to one of the seams, the Apple Records insert is in superb Mint Minus condition.

The Wonderwall Music outer picture sleeve is in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, a very firm glossy sleeve that shows light age toning to the white borders on the front of the sleeve.

A very nice example of George Harrison’s FIRST official UK APPLE release, original Factory Sample LP, with FIRST 1G stampers on both sides.
